Terms & Conditions.
These terms govern access to and use of StageLab Remaps and its professional ECU and TCU file services. StageLab is operated as a UK sole-trader business and the service is intended for business and professional automotive customers, not consumers purchasing for private use.
StageLab Remaps is intended for automotive businesses and tuning professionals acting in the course of their trade, business or profession. If you are acting wholly or mainly outside your trade, business or profession, do not place an order through the service.
Who provides the service
StageLab Remaps provides professional ECU and TCU file services through the StageLab website and customer portal.
Business customers only
By creating an account, purchasing credits or submitting a job, you represent that you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession and that you have authority to enter into the transaction.
You must provide accurate information and must not misrepresent the identity, ownership, intended use or legal status of a vehicle, control unit or file.
Account security and access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account. You must notify StageLab promptly if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.
Accounts may not be used to facilitate unlawful activity, unauthorised access to vehicles or control units, fraud, infringement of third-party rights, or attempts to interfere with the StageLab platform.
File-service requests
Service availability depends on the vehicle, ECU or TCU, software version, hardware configuration, quality and completeness of the original read, and the technical feasibility of the requested calibration.
A service being displayed on the website does not guarantee compatibility with every vehicle or control unit. StageLab may request additional information, decline a technically unsuitable request, or propose an alternative where appropriate.
The customer must review the selected services and vehicle information before submission. Any special requirements should be included with the job before processing begins.
Original and completed files
You confirm that you are authorised to submit each file and to request the relevant work. You remain responsible for retaining your own suitable backup of the vehicle's original data before programming or writing a modified file.
Do not submit malicious files, unrelated personal information, credentials or material that you do not have the right to provide. StageLab may retain job and file records as reasonably required to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve support issues and meet legal obligations, subject to the Privacy Policy.
Credit-based pricing
StageLab services are priced using account credits. The applicable credit cost is the amount displayed by the service at the time a job is submitted. Credit package prices and custom credit pricing may change for future purchases.
Payments must be made using an available authorised payment method. Credits have no cash value, are not currency and cannot be transferred between accounts unless StageLab expressly agrees otherwise.
StageLab may correct an obvious pricing, credit or technical error before processing the affected transaction or job and will communicate where further action is required.
When a refund may be considered
Because StageLab provides business-to-business digital and file-processing services that may be prepared specifically for a submitted vehicle file, cancellation and refund rights are not the same as consumer cancellation rights.
If StageLab cannot provide a paid file service, an appropriate credit restoration, account credit adjustment or refund may be considered depending on the circumstances and payment method. A completed or substantially processed custom file service is generally not refundable merely because the customer changes their mind, selected the wrong service, supplied incorrect information, or later decides not to use the file.
Nothing in these terms excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Processing times
Any turnaround time stated by StageLab is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Processing may take longer where additional checks, information, file correction or technical investigation is required.
StageLab is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate customer information, unsuitable or corrupt reads, third-party systems, payment providers, hosting or communications outages, or events outside reasonable control.
Regulated vehicle systems and emissions
StageLab provides file services only for applications that are lawful in the relevant jurisdiction. Services affecting emissions-control or other regulated vehicle systems are not offered for the purpose of unlawfully defeating, removing or bypassing requirements that apply to vehicles used on public roads.
Depending on the application and jurisdiction, lawful use may include genuine motorsport, off-road, development/testing or export applications where permitted. A label such as “off-road”, “motorsport” or “export” does not itself make an otherwise unlawful modification lawful.
The customer is responsible for establishing that the requested work and subsequent vehicle use are permitted by all applicable road-use, emissions, environmental, inspection, registration and other laws. StageLab may request clarification and may refuse any request where the stated or apparent use appears unlawful or inappropriate.
StageLab services must not be used to conceal an unresolved mechanical, electrical or emissions-system fault, to mislead an inspection authority, or to make false representations about a vehicle's compliance status.
Diagnostics, condition and programming
The customer is responsible for confirming that the vehicle is mechanically and electrically suitable before and after calibration work, and for carrying out appropriate diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
The customer is also responsible for using suitable professional reading and programming equipment, maintaining adequate battery support where required, following correct programming procedures and verifying the vehicle after writing a file.
StageLab does not control the physical vehicle, its prior modifications, mechanical condition, programming equipment, workshop procedure or subsequent use. A calibration file should not be treated as a substitute for diagnosis or repair.
Permitted use of supplied files
Subject to payment and these terms, completed files are supplied for the customer's legitimate professional use in connection with the job for which they were prepared. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, no ownership of StageLab's website, software, branding, processes, documentation or other intellectual property is transferred.
You must not copy, scrape, reproduce or exploit the StageLab platform, branding or website content except as permitted by law or with prior written permission.
Reasonable allocation of responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to the preceding paragraph, StageLab is not responsible for indirect or consequential business loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity, loss arising from unlawful vehicle use, or loss caused by inaccurate information, unsuitable original files, pre-existing faults, incorrect programming procedures or unauthorised alterations made after delivery.
To the extent permitted by law, StageLab's aggregate liability arising from a particular paid job will not exceed the amount actually paid to StageLab for that job. This limitation does not apply where applicable law does not permit it.
Protecting the service
StageLab may refuse a job, restrict or suspend an account, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, abuse, suspected fraud, repeated misuse, unlawful requests, breach of these terms or protection of StageLab, its customers or third parties.
Where reasonably practicable, StageLab will take account of any legitimate outstanding paid work or account balance when resolving a suspension or closure.
Legal framework
These terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any mandatory rule that applies otherwise, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the StageLab service.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
Updates to these terms
StageLab may update these terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the service, business practices, security, payment arrangements or applicable law. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date. Material changes affecting existing customers may also be communicated through the website, portal or registered contact details where appropriate.

These website terms are intended to document the StageLab B2B service and operating rules clearly. They are not a substitute for tailored legal advice. Because vehicle calibration, emissions rules, international customers and digital services can involve jurisdiction-specific requirements, StageLab should obtain professional legal review as the business develops.
